Listing standards
- Accurate condition grade.The 1–10 condition score should reflect the item's actual state. Significant discrepancies between the stated grade and actual condition may result in listing removal or account action.
- Defect disclosure. Known cosmetic or functional issues, repairs, missing accessories, or modifications should be disclosed in the listing description.
- Accurate photos. Photos should represent the actual item being sold. Stock photos or photos of a different unit are not appropriate.
- Correct category. Items should be listed in the most appropriate equipment category.
- Accurate specifications. Model year, version, and revision should be accurate if stated.
Account actions
Off-platform communication
Users may, at their own discretion, share personal contact information — including email addresses, phone numbers, or other details — with other users at any time. HiFi Registry does not prohibit off-platform communication.
However, if users choose to take a conversation or transaction off the HiFi Registry platform, they do so entirely at their own risk. HiFi Registry has no jurisdiction, authority, or obligation with respect to any communication or transaction that occurs outside the platform and will not moderate, review, or take any position on it — regardless of how or when the off-platform communication began. All forum moderation applies only to content posted within the HiFi Registry platform.
Ban registry
HiFi Registry may maintain a public log of permanently banned accounts. Any such entries reflect HiFi Registry's internal determinations only and are not a legal finding of wrongdoing. Entries may include:
- Username (not legal name or email)
- General violation category
- Date of action
HiFi Registry makes no warranty as to the accuracy or completeness of the ban registry and reserves the right to add, remove, or modify entries at any time.
